  3. 1/2 cup tuvar dal, soaked
  4. 3 tbsp moong dal, soaked

  9. 1 green chilli
  10. 1 1/2 cups water
  11. For Tempering-
  12. 1 tbsp ghee
  13. 1 tbsp oil
  14. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  15. 1 inch ginger, finely chopped
  16. 1/2 tbsp garlic, finely chopped
  17. 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  18. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  19. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  20. As per taste Salt
  21. For 2nd Tempering
  22. 2 tbsp ghee
  23. 2 tbsp oil 3-4 garlic cloves, sliced
  24. 2-3 whole dry kashmiri red chillies
  25. 1 pinch asafoetida
  26. 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  27. For Garnish:
  28. 1/2 cup cilantro, finely chopped

    Heat ghee in a pan, over medium low heat; Add garlic cloves, whole dry kashmiri red chillies, asafoetida, kashmiri red chilli powder and mix well. Cook until aromatic
  5. Pour the prepared dal into a serving dish, garnish with coriander leaves. Pour the prepared tempering and serve. mix with rice. place in lunch box. tastes simply divine. May serve with dosa, idli or roti
