Delicious Chicken Curry Recipe. This chicken curry taste awesome when potatoes are added to it. Served it with hot steamed basmati rice, chicken cutlet and curd raita made using curd, pearl (sambar) onions, baby tomatoes, cucumber, green chillies, coriander leaves and salt. My signature dish which is my family’s favorite. My own creative recipe.
Ingredients and spices that need to be Prepare to make Chicken Curry:
- Marination:
- 450 gms Zorabian Breast Boneless Chicken
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Ginger Oil
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 lemon Juice it
- Crush in Chopper:
- 8-10 Pearl (Sambar) Onions
- 2 Green Chillies
- 1 sprig Curry Leaves
- 5 cloves Garlic
- 1 Inch Ginger
- Crush in Chopper:
- 2 small Tomatoes
- Whole Garam Masala for Tempering:
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 3 Dried Red Chillies
- 2-3 Bay Leaves
- 1/8 tsp Asafoetida
- 3 Green Cardamom
- 2 Cinnamon Sticks (1†Each)
- 4 Cloves
- 10-12 Peppercorns
- 1/4 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1/4 tsp Fennel Seeds
- Powdered Masala:
- 1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 2 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Powder
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
- as required Salt to Taste
- Other Ingredients:
- 2-3 tbsp Ginger Oil
- 1 sprig Curry Leaves
- 4 Green Chillies
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
- 2 Potatoes (Chopped)
- 4 +2 tbsp Coriander Leaves (Chopped)
- 1 tsp Chicken Masala
- 1/2 tsp White Pepper Powder
- 1/2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
- 1 cup Hot Water (Or As Required according to desired consistency)
Instructions to make to make Chicken Curry
- Firstly, for marinating the chicken, in a large mixing bowl add washed and chopped chicken pieces. To it add turmeric powder, salt and ginger oil.
- Then add ginger garlic paste and lemon juice.
- Mix well and set it aside to marinate overnight or for few hours or minimum 30 minutes to an hour.
- In a chopper add, pearl onions, green chillies, curry leaves, garlic and ginger and crush it fine.
- Transfer it to a plate. Similarly, add the chopped tomatoes to a chopper and crush in fine. Set it aside.
- Keep all the whole garam masala ready.
- Heat oil in a cooker. Add all the whole garam masala and allow it to sizzle.
- Next add the curry leaves and green chillies and saute for few seconds.
- Then add all the ingredients crushed in the chopper and saute till the raw smell leaves.
- Add turmeric powder and kashmiri red chilli powder and saute it quickly for few seconds.
- Now add the tomatoes which was crushed in the chopper and saute for few minutes till the oil appears at the surface.
- Add the chopped coriander leaves and saute for few seconds.
- Add all the powdered masala mentioned above and saute quickly for few seconds.
- Now add the marinated chicken and saute for few minutes till the masala is coated to the chicken.
- Add the chopped potatoes and again saute for few minutes till the masala is coated to the potatoes.
- Next again add the chopped coriander leaves, chicken masala and white pepper powder and saute for a minute.
- Add little hot water and let it come to a boil.
- Add kashmiri red chilli powder and cook it till oil appears at the surface.
- Now add more hot water as per desired consistency and let the gravy come to a boil.
- Close and lock the lid of the pressure cooker and turn the heat to high. When the pan reaches pressure, lower the flame to minimum heat and count 12-15 minutes cooking time. When time is up, open the lid using natural release. Cook the gravy on medium flame for 2-3 minutes.
