  15. as required Fresh cream

Steps to make to make Dal Makhani

  1. Clean the dal, add rajma, hing, salt and mustard oil and boil for around 40 to 45 minutes on low flame.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add butter to it….sauté ginger garlic paste till slightly golden brown.
  3. Add the red chilli powder and stir slightly followed by adding tomato purée.
  4. Mix it well and let it blend to give a smooth texture and red colour.
  5. In the meantime add a glass of milk to the boiled dal and let it boil on low flame.
  6. Once the tempering is ready add the boiling dal to it and simmer the flame and let it boil for another 20 to 25 minutes.
  7. Add kasoori methi and fresh cream while boiling.
  8. In a pan heat the oil and fry the chopped and add 2 whole red chilli….
  9. Remove from flame and season the dal…. Once the dal is done add some more fresh cream to it.
  10. Serve with naan, tandoori roti or rice.
