- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 tablespoon Garam Masala powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Kasuri Mehti, optional
- 2 tablespoons Butter (or ghee)
- 1/4 cup Fresh Cream
- to taste Salt,
- Pinch sugar

- Wash the lentils well, then pour into a medium bowl and cover with water. Set aside to soak overnight.
- In a pressure cooker, heat ghee over medium heat. Add little sugar, when sugar melts add chopped onions fry until soft.
