- Soak rajma in water overnight. Add some salt to it.
This is an important step for better cooking of rajma. - Now in a pressure cooker add soaked rajma, some salt, and water,so that all rajma seeds are covered in water. Add 2 garlic cloves and 2 Bay leaves here for lovely aroma in your curry. Now pressurecook for 15 minutes.
- In another pan, take some oil,heat it,and bay leaves,whole cloves,whole black pepper.
- Grind onions and garlic.make a paste and add in oil.Roast it till colour changes to golden brown.
- Grind tomatoes also, add tomato puree to the above mixture.
- Add salt,red Chilli powder.mix well.,cover the pan and let it cook for 3-4 minutes,till tomatoes cook completely.
- Now add curd.Stir continuously to avoid lumps.Keep the gas flame low while adding curd.cook for another 5 minutes.
- Add 2 cups of water.(Rajma seeds should be completely covered by water)
- Cover the lid and let it simmer for next 5 minutes.
- Garnish with green coriander
- Serve hot with rice /chapati / parantha / naan.
